Scorpion not moving or eating

It is not uncommon to have your scorpion not move or eat (fast) for several weeks. Some species of scorpions can fast for months without food.

To make sure your scorpion is not dying, check its posture. Scorpions will always curl or hold their tails in the air. A scorpion thats tail is extended flat behind it is more than likely sick and about to die, or has already died.

Remember that scorpions have very poor eye sight. It is not uncommon for a scorpion to also hold its ground and wait for prey to come to it.

The scorpion could also be getting ready to molt. If you disturb a scorpion that is in the process of molting it could be lethal to the scorpion.
